Marc Airhart lives in Austin, Texas.  He's been contra dancing for about 6 years and calling for about 3 years. He began calling contras at the encouragement of William Watson, a well-known caller and author of contra dances who has since moved to the Northwest.  Watson had a broad repertoire and experience in working with a wide range of dancers and musicians.  More recently, Marc  has received dances, tips and encouragement from several other Austin callers.  He's always eager to learn new things.

Marc has called dances in Bryan/College Station, Austin, San Antonio, Temple, and Lake Texoma.  When he's not dancing, he's a producer for the Earth and Sky radio series, a daily science program.
